The Role Of Pancasila Values In Reinforcing Indonesian National Identity In The Era Of Globalization

Abstract

The era of globalization presents a dual challenge for Indonesia: it offers opportunities for international integration while threatening the erosion of local cultural values. This study aims to analyze the pivotal role of Pancasila values as the foundational filter and reinforcement for Indonesian National Identity. The research methodology employs a systematic journal review, analyzing various peer-reviewed articles to synthesize data on the implementation of Pancasila in the modern era. The findings suggest that the five principles of Pancasila serve as a unifying force that maintains social cohesion. Revitalizing these values within the education system is essential to prevent the loss of the national soul. By internalizing Pancasila, Indonesia can navigate globalization while ensuring that modernization does not lead to cultural homogenization.
