Peran Mendongeng dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berbahasa Indonesia Anak Usia Dini

The ability to speak Indonesian in early childhood is very important for their communication and academic development in the future. One effective method for improving language skills is through storytelling activities. This research aims to analyze the role of storytelling in improving young children's Indonesian language skills, especially in the aspects of vocabulary, sentence structure and story comprehension. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach in a group of children aged 4-6 years in a kindergarten. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews with teachers, and analysis of the results of storytelling activities. The research results show that regular storytelling can improve children's language skills, especially in increasing their vocabulary, improving their ability to speak with more complete sentences, and helping them understand and retell the contents of the story better. The conclusion of this research confirms that storytelling is an effective strategy in developing Indonesian language skills in young children and can be implemented as a fun and meaningful learning method in early childhood education environments.
