Peran Pancasila Dalam Memperkuat Persatuan dan Kesatuan Bangsa

Abstract

As the cornerstone of the Indonesian state, Pancasila plays a significant role in preserving national cohesion, particularly in the face of racial, religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity.  Pancasila serves as an ideological basis that guides Indonesians to live in peace and respect for one another in addition to being a governmental symbol.  The purpose of this study is to examine how Pancasila helps preserve national identity and reduce the likelihood of social conflict in the age of globalization.  A literature study is the research methodology employed, which involves gathering information from numerous periodicals, scholarly works, and pertinent publications. The findings demonstrate how Pancasila values—such as mutual collaboration, tolerance, and deliberation—can act as a social glue to lessen conflict and preserve Indonesia's sociopolitical equilibrium.  Furthermore, the primary factor in enhancing the character of the country is the application of Pancasila in government programs and education.  Pancasila also acts as a buffer against the damaging effects of alien cultures, which can weaken national identity in the age of globalization.  Thus, in order to enhance national unity, Pancasila values must be taught and ingrained in society through ongoing improvement.
