Abstract

This study aims to identify the readiness of teachers and schools in implementing the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia and explore the challenges faced during the learning process. The research method uses a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews and literature studies as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that there are several challenges in implementing the Independent Curriculum. First, most teachers feel unprepared to adopt project-based and interactive learning methods, which have an impact on teaching effectiveness. Second, limited facilities and infrastructure at school are obstacles that hinder the optimal implementation of the Independent Curriculum. Third, students have difficulty adapting to independent learning methods that require them to be more active in the learning process. In addition, the lack of parental understanding of the concept of the Independent Curriculum also affects the support given to children in the learning process. Therefore, intensive training is needed for teachers, improvement of educational facilities, and active involvement of parents to support the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia.
