Dilema bahasa ibu: Strategi Meningkatkan Kosakata Bahasa Indonesia bagi Anak Usia Dini di Daerah Terpencil

Abstract

Proficiency in proper and correct Indonesian language is a crucial foundation for the cognitive and social development of early childhood. In remote areas, children often face challenges in mastering Indonesian due to the dominance of their mother tongue in daily life. This article aims to examine the dilemma of the mother tongue in the context of Indonesian language acquisition among young children in remote areas and to identify effective strategies to enhance their Indonesian vocabulary. Through a literature review, this article analyzes various studies and relevant theories to provide practical recommendations for educators and stakeholders in efforts to improve Indonesian language skills among children in remote areas.
